Introducing, Monarch Talent Management's newest addition...
Aloha everyone, I am Marina, a leatherback sea turtle.
I'm a bit larger than average in size at 160-cm long,
though I am very large in width, and weigh approximately
800 pounds. I am the largest and most unique sea turtle
species in the world, I'm also critically endangered of
becoming extinct. I was satellite tagged in late May of
2004 when I finished laying my nest of eggs on the beach
of Tortuguero National Park, also near mile 17, Costa
Rica. I was first flipper tagged on April 13, 1996. I was
seen nesting again on April 11, 1998 and then again on
March 25, 2002! You can see where I've been swimming
lately by looking at my
migration map.
