Claims - Hale 'Aina Award Winning
Restaurant Nobu Waikiki has also made
HONOLULU's Best Bars list in 2007 and 2009,
along with making their list of Top 5 Cocktails
this year.  The centrally located restaurant
and lounge has celebrity roots, such as
owner Robert De Niro, and world renowned
Executive Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.  Happy hour
is offered Monday thru Friday, 5pm-7pm.
Located at the Park Hotel with free valet
parking.

We Found: Although not the best view of
Waikiki, the combination of their food,
cocktails, and overall aesthetic was fantastic.
The service was excellent, with their
bartenders and servers readily available to
assist you.  Japanese tourist filled the
restaurant side of Nobu with a mix of local
residents seated throughout the lounge
area.   My recommendation is to start with
the Apertivo Special which includes one
cocktail or wine of your choice, along with an
appetizer sampler.  Cocktail of my choice:
Champagne 95 Martini.  With a price of $18 a
head you can't go wrong.  Good luck with
stopping yourself from ordering up the entire
menu, because portions are small.  That I
would say was the only down fall for my visit
to Nobu Waikiki.  Bravo!

*Haleakala Martini $8
*
Lilikoi Margarita $8
*Kirin Beer $4
*Champagne 95 Martini $8
*Apertivo $18 a head
(includes one cocktail or wine, and
sampler)

Total= $47 (+tax)
Claims- A casual steakhouse that offers an
array of American cuisine with an Aussie
theme. Happy hour is offered seven days a
week in their bar area from 3pm to 6pm.  It
features 50% off all appetizers and $1.00 off
all well drinks, signature drinks, and draft
beers.

We found- Though they lack in offering a great
deal on happy hour drinks, the casual dining
and appetizer specials make this restaurant a
definite place to stop by.  The dim lighting
creates a personal atmosphere and the noise
level was relatively quite.  The portion of the
appetizers are a good size, enough for two
people to share and very tasty.  I recommend
starting with the Coconut Shrimp and another
appetizer, then share a Joey Sirloin, which is
on the kids section of the menu.  Don't be
fooled, it's an 8 oz. Sirloin that's served with
one side dish or a side salad.  They serve free
bread and butter, all you need to do is ask for
it.  Overall a great value if your wanting to sit
and chat with friends at place that's not to
fancy.

*Draft Beer (Newcastle) $6
*Sangria $6
*2 House Margarita's $4.95 each
*Blooming onion $4.50
*Coconut shrimp$6
*Joey sirloin $8.95

Claims: Contemporary setting features a
fusion of Chinese and American cusine.  Happy
hour is offered from 3pm-6pm, everyday.
Includes an assorted array of $6 appetizers
and $3-$6 drinks.  Located near Ward Center
behind Hokua towers.

We found:  Even though a chain restaurant,
PF Chang's still has the allure of hip bistro.
The crowd was a mix of downtown business
people and Hokua residents, reminiscent of
the old Palamino's.  Conversations were easily
heard among the crowd and the service was
top notch.  Bartenders are friendly and fast.
As quick as our order was taken, the food was
served to us.  The variety on the happy hour
menu is superb with something for everyone.
Easily a place to go on a date without breaking
the bank.
